Tom stood in front of the front door of his house. Well, his parents house. He took a deep breath and stepped in.
'Hey Mum, hey Dad!' He said and took off his coat and shoes.
'Hey Tom!' He heard them say back. He took another deep breath and stepped into the livingroom.
'Hey son, how- WHAT DID YOU DO?!?!' His father shouted and stood up. His mother looked up and her mouth dropped open. She got tears in her eyes.
'Tom, what? Why?' She asked. He shrugged his shoulders.
'Just felt like it' He said. His father walked up to him.
'OH SO THIS HAPPENS WHEN YOU JUST FEEL LIKE IT?! WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY SON?!' His father shouted. Tom cringed a bit. He always found his father pretty scary when he was angry. He again shrugged his shoulders.
'This is the real me' He said and walked past his father. His mother still looked at him in shock. He walked to the kitchen, grabbed an apple and walked to his room. He locked himself in his room so his parents couldn't come in and put his music on full volume. Fallen by Evanescence. He smiled and stood in front of his mirror. He looked at himself and smiled wider. He really liked his new look. He had dyed his hair bright blue and had gotten a lip and eyebrow piercing. He was so happy they hadn't asked for his ID, or he had been caught. He also had wanted a tattoo, but had decided not to at the last moment. He pulled up his t shirt and groaned. He threw away the apple and bent over his sink. He put his finger in his throat and threw up. He needed to be skinny and pretty. He got tears in his eyes. When he was done he cleaned his sink and sat crosslegged on his bed. He grabbed his backpack and took the book he was currently reading. It was will grayson, will grayson from John Green and David Levithan. He really liked it. He lay down and opened it where he had left. Soon there was nothing around him but the story. After a while, he didn't know how long, his mother called him for dinner. He stood up and walked to the livingroom. He sat down at the table and they ate in silence. His father shot him angry looks once in a while and his mother looked dissapointed at him. He ignored it. He was happy with how he looked, he hadn't been happy with himself in a long time. When they were done with dinner, he put his plate in the kitchen and walked to his room again. He locked himself in again and continued reading. At 11 o'clock he decided it was time to sleep, so he put on his PJ's, threw up another time and went to sleep. He couldn't sleep though, one picture of a friend of him kept racing through his mind. He had more than friendly feelings for him. Only he couldn't tell him, he knew that Ed wasn't gay. Or bi. He sighed and turned to his other side. He tried to fall asleep, but no such luck. He sighed again and sat up. He rubbed his eyes and stood up. He walked to the bathroom and grabbed a strip of sleepingpills. He took 3 of them and returned to his bed. He lay down and closed his eyes. It took the pills a while to set in, but after a while he finally fell asleep.



'Hey Tom' He heard and looked up to see Ed.
'Hey Ed' He said and smiled. Ed smiled back.
'How did your parents react?' He asked and pointed at him. Tom shook his head and looked at his feet. Ed had come when he had gotten the piercings and he had dyed his hair at Ed's place. Ed's parents were way more flexible and had accepted it. They even found it pretty cool. They walked to school together, talking about nothing in particular. They had most classes together and at most of them they sat next to eachother. That's how Tom survived school, if it wasn't for Ed he had quit school a  long time ago. When school was done they went to Ed's place and played some video games and jammed a little. Around 6 o'clock Ed's mother came to his room and asked Tom if he wanted to stay for dinner. Tom said yes, he didn't want to face his parent's during dinner, they probably were going to whine about how he threw away his life and stuff. At 9 he went home. He went straight to his room and threw up again. Several times this time. He read again and at 11 he went to sleep again, he immedeatly took the pills this time.


'Hey everybody' Tom said and put his bag on the floor. He started to headbang on the music with Michael and Ed. Alex and Charlie were to wrapped up in eachother to join. And if they weren't Charlie wouldn't join anyway, he was way to shy. When the song had ended the people of the music put on a poppy song and they stopped. They started chatting a little. Tom noticed Ed looking at him the entire time. The butterflies in his stomach began to flutter and he got it warm.
'Hey Liam' They heard and Tom saw Liam and Michael sneaking of to a corner to snog. He sighed and shook his head. Thoughts of him and Ed doing that began to play in his head.
'Hey! Tom! You know a cool song to play?' Kevin asked him. Tom thought deep.
'Just another star from BFMV?' The sentence ended in a question. Kevin nodded and thanked him. He didn't hang out with Kevin that much, they would talk sometimes and Kevin went to the same pub as he did, but that was it.
'Hey Tom' He heard and turned around to see Zoë. He liked Zoë in a friendly way, she was the opposite of shy and was always funny. She always knew how to lighten situations.
'Heey Zoë' He said and gave her a hug. She hugged him back.
'How are you?' She asked him. She knew about his problems, only he didn't know she knew.
'Fine, you?' He lied. She shrugged her shoulders.
'Okay I guess' She said. He nodded. She was going through a rough time. He rubbed her back and she nodded. Nikita called for her and she walked to him.
'I hope everything will be okay with Zoë again soon' Ed said and stood beside Tom. Tom nodded and looked Ed in his eyes. Ed looked back and there was something that looked an awful lot like concern in his eyes.
'What's wrong Ed?' Tom asked. Ed kept looking him in his eyes.
'Why don't you eat?' Ed asked and Tom raised an eyebrow. His stomach turned into a rock.
'What are you talking about?' He asked. Ed rolled his eyes and sighed.
'You know what I mean' He said. Tom looked at his feet and swallowed.
'I don't know' He lied. Ed rolled his eyes again. Suddenly Ed pushed Tom against the wall and began to snog him like there was no tomorrow. Tom was shocked at first, but soon realised thathe had to react and began to kiss Ed back.
'Finally!' They heard behind them after a while. They pulled apart and looked at who was there. It were Liam and Michael.
'Finally?' Tom asked. Michael and Liam rolled their eyes.
'It is obvious that you two have liked each other for at leats 4 months' Liam said. Michael nodded.
'Then why didn't you tell either of us?' Tom asked. Michael shrugged his shoulders.
'We thought you should find out yourself' He said. Ed rolled his eyes. Tom walked away from the wall and Ed backhugged him. Tom smiled.
'Thank you for doing that' He said to Ed. Ed nodded.
'You are more than welcome' He said. Tom nodded. He couldn't be happier.
